These terms govern your use of Bone Wizardry (bonewizardry.com). By using the site, paying for a subscription, or booking tutoring, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
- Nothing on this site is medical advice. It is not a substitute for the clinical judgment of a licensed professional or for formal, licensed instruction.
- Do not use Bone Wizardry to diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions about any real patient.
- Verify everything against current, authoritative clinical sources and your own supervising clinicians before applying any information in practice.
- If you or someone else has a medical emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
- Use of this site, including tutoring, does not create a doctor-patient relationship or any clinical, advisory, or professional relationship between you and Bone Wizardry, the company, or its contractors.
Study content is, by nature, simplified and pattern-focused. It exists to help you recognize concepts and patterns for learning, not to replace formal education or professional training.
1. Who we are
Bone Wizardry is an independently operated educational service. In these terms, "Bone Wizardry," "the company," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of bonewizardry.com. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference and forms part of this agreement. Contact: support@bonewizardry.com.
2. Educational use only and no medical advice
Bone Wizardry is provided strictly as a study and educational resource. All content, decks, quizzes, interactive tools, and tutoring are for learning and self-study only.
- Nothing on the site is medical, legal, or professional advice, and nothing here is a substitute for professional clinical judgment, formal coursework, or licensed instruction.
- You must not rely on Bone Wizardry to diagnose, treat, or manage any real patient or condition, and you must not use it as a clinical reference at the point of care.
- Content is simplified and pattern-focused for teaching. It may omit nuance, contain errors, and become outdated as standards evolve.
- Use of the site does not create any clinical, advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship between you and the company or its contractors.
- You are solely responsible for how you use the information, and for verifying it against current, authoritative sources before applying it in any real setting.
3. No affiliation or endorsement
Bone Wizardry is an independent educational service. The company is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any testing organization, examination program, licensing or credentialing board, medical or professional school, university, government agency, or third-party content publisher.
- Any references to licensing or clinical practiceinations, exam preparation, or exam topics are descriptive only and indicate the general subject area our materials may help you study. They do not imply any partnership, license, approval, or affiliation.
- The company does not administer, score, or influence any examination, and earning access to or completing our materials does not confer any credential, eligibility, license, or qualification of any kind.
- All product names, trademarks, and registered trademarks that may appear in user-submitted content or general discussion are the property of their respective owners and are used, if at all, only for identification. Their use does not imply any endorsement of the company by, or affiliation with, those owners.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Bone Wizardry is designed for adult learners.
- One account per person. Do not share access to your account.
- We use passwordless sign-in: you log in with a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to keep your account email address current. Notice we send to that address is effective when sent.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, email us immediately.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@bonewizardry.com.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal
Pricing and what is included
The current subscription price and feature list are shown at bonewizardry.com/pricing. Prices are stated in US dollars and exclude any applicable sales, use, or value-added taxes, which will be added at checkout where required by law. We may change pricing in the future. Existing subscribers will be notified by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect on their account.
Express consent to auto-renewal
By clicking "Subscribe" (or any equivalent button), you provide your express affirmative consent to the following: your subscription automatically renews each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel; you authorize the company, through its payment processor, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel; and you acknowledge that, except as required by law, no refunds are issued for the current or any prior billing period.
After you subscribe, we send you a confirmation email summarizing the auto-renewal terms, the renewal price, the renewal frequency, and how to cancel. Keep that email for your records.
How to cancel
You can cancel at any time from your account page at bonewizardry.com/manage. Cancellation is online and immediate. You will not be required to call, chat, speak to a representative, or complete any retention flow to cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access through that date. After cancellation, your subscription stops renewing and you will not be charged again. You will receive a cancellation confirmation by email.
Refunds
Except where a non-waivable refund right is required by law, all subscription payments are non-refundable. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of your current billing period, but we do not refund the current period's payment or any past payments, and there are no prorated refunds. If you believe you were charged in error or experienced a billing issue, email support@bonewizardry.com and we will review it in good faith.
Failed payments
If your payment method fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected within 30 days, access may be suspended. If payment cannot be collected within 90 days, your subscription may be canceled. Your account and study progress are preserved for at least 90 days after cancellation, after which they may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Consent records
Where required by law, including California's Automatic Renewal Law, we retain records of your consent to these auto-renewal terms for at least three years, or one year after your subscription ends, whichever is longer.
6. Tutoring services
The company may offer tutoring sessions, sold through its payment processor. Tutoring is subject to these terms and to the following:
- Independent contractors. Tutoring is delivered by independent physician contractors, not employees of the company. They are engaged to provide educational instruction only. The company does not direct the manner of their clinical practice and is not responsible for, and does not endorse, any opinion, statement, or act of a tutor outside the educational sessions you book.
- Educational only. Tutoring is for study and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and does not create any doctor-patient, clinical, advisory, or professional relationship between you and any tutor, the company, or its contractors. Do not bring real patient questions or protected health information to a session.
- No outcome guarantee. Tutoring does not guarantee any examination result, score, grade, licensure, certification, or other outcome.
- Scheduling, conduct, and refunds. Session scheduling, rescheduling, no-show, and refund rules for tutoring are presented at the time of purchase. Absent a stated tutoring-specific policy, the refund terms in Section 5 apply. You agree to treat tutors professionally and respectfully; abusive conduct may result in cancellation without refund.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share access to your account with anyone else.
- Resell, redistribute, or republish content owned by Bone Wizardry, except for third-party materials that you are independently allowed to use under their original licenses.
- Scrape, crawl, or extract content in bulk using automated tools, scripts, or third-party services.
- Use Bone Wizardry content, or any data derived from the service, to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or otherwise develop any machine learning model, large language model, generative AI system, or comparable automated system, whether by you or on behalf of any third party.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any interactive tool on the site.
- Use the site or tutoring to harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, paywalls, rate limits, or other access controls.
- Upload or submit content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates any law.
- Use the site in any way that interferes with its operation for other users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice. Serious violations may also be reported to the relevant institution, professional authority, or law enforcement.
8. User content and reviews
The site may let you submit reviews, ratings, comments, corrections, topic requests, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it you grant the company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, perpetual, and irrevocable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, and distribute that User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the service. You waive any moral rights to the extent permitted by law, and you are not entitled to compensation or attribution.
You represent that you own or have the rights to everything you submit, that it does not infringe any third-party right or violate any law, and that it contains no confidential or protected health information about any real person. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we may review, moderate, edit, refuse, or remove any User Content at any time, in our sole discretion and without notice. We are not responsible or liable for User Content submitted by you or any other user, and the views expressed in User Content are those of the person who posted them, not the company.
9. Intellectual property
All content on Bone Wizardry that is created by the company, including study decks, interactive tools, illustrations, text, code, design, and brand elements, is original and owned by the company or licensed for use on the site. It is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "Bone Wizardry" and associated logos and branding are trademarks of the company and may not be used without our prior written permission.
Your subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the content for your own studying. It does not transfer ownership of anything. This license terminates automatically if you breach these terms or your subscription ends, and you must then stop using and delete any downloaded or cached content.
Third-party and open-licensed materials
Some pages include third-party images, diagrams, chemical structures, public-domain materials, Creative Commons materials, or other source materials used for educational context. Those materials remain governed by their original licenses, source terms, and attribution requirements. Where a page includes an image source manifest or credit link, that manifest is part of the attribution record for the page.
Bone Wizardry does not claim exclusive ownership of public-domain, CC0, Creative Commons, government, or other third-party materials merely because they appear on the site. Our account, paywall, anti-scraping, and redistribution rules apply to company-owned content and to the assembled service. They do not take away rights that a third-party license gives you directly from the original source.
If you reuse third-party materials from Bone Wizardry, you are responsible for following the original license terms. This may include attribution, keeping license notices intact, linking the license, preserving ShareAlike terms for modified Creative Commons ShareAlike works, and avoiding any implication that the original creator, publisher, agency, or source endorses Bone Wizardry or your reuse.
Do not remove, obscure, or alter image credits, source manifests, license notices, or no-endorsement statements from Bone Wizardry pages.
If you submit corrections, topic requests, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant the company a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback to improve the site. You do not have to be attributed, and we will not publish your name or email unless you specifically ask us to.
10. Copyright and takedown (DMCA)
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content on the site, including User Content, infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@bonewizardry.com that includes: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and enough information for us to locate it; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on the rights holder's behalf.
We will respond to valid notices as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, which may include removing the material and notifying the user who submitted it. We may terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with the corresponding information required by the DMCA.
11. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers to operate, including a payment processor (for subscriptions and tutoring), a transactional email provider (for sign-in codes and notices), and a hosting and content-delivery provider (for serving and protecting the site). Your use of those features is also subject to the providers' own terms and policies. The company is not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, security, or content of third-party services, and any payment dispute that the payment processor must handle is governed by that processor's rules in addition to these terms.
12. Accuracy and updates
We work hard to keep content accurate and current, but standards change and mistakes happen. Bone Wizardry makes no guarantee that any specific piece of content is current, complete, or correct. If you find an error, please send a correction to support@bonewizardry.com.
13. No guarantee of outcomes
Bone Wizardry is a study tool. We make no promise, representation, or guarantee that using the site or tutoring will improve your performance or result in any particular outcome on any licensing or clinical practiceination, course, certification, or other assessment, or that it will lead to admission, licensure, certification, employment, or any other result. Any examples, testimonials, or score references are not promises of similar results. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and circumstances, and you assume full responsibility for your results.
14. Disclaimers
The service, including all content and tutoring, is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," with all faults. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the company disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, and uninterrupted or error-free service, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the site will be free of errors, bugs, or interruptions, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or its servers are free of viruses or harmful components. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The company, together with its owner, contractors, tutors, and affiliates, is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, study time, goodwill, examination scores, opportunities, or career outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of the site or tutoring, whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims related to the service is limited to the total amount you actually paid the company in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater.
- These limits apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or otherwise) and even if any remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the company, its owner, contractors, tutors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: your use or misuse of the service or tutoring; your User Content; your violation of these terms; your violation of any law; or your violation of any third-party right. We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.
17. Termination
You can stop using the site and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access, in whole or in part, for violations of these terms, for non-payment, for conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the company or other users, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate your subscription without cause, we will refund any prepaid amounts for periods after termination. If we terminate for cause, including any violation of these terms, no refund is owed. Upon termination, your license to the content ends and the sections listed under Survival continue to apply.
18. Changes to the service
We may change, add, or remove features at any time. We try to avoid removing features that subscribers rely on, but we reserve the right to do so. If a material feature is removed, we will notify active subscribers by email.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Minor changes, such as typos and clarifications, may be made at any time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
20. Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to go to court and to have a jury trial.
Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact support@bonewizardry.com and work with us in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Binding arbitration. Except for the exceptions below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms, the service, or tutoring, that is not resolved informally, will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its consumer arbitration rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in the English language. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute about the interpretation, applicability, or enforceability of this arbitration agreement.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property or stop unauthorized access or misuse of the service. Nothing here prevents you from reporting an issue to a government agency.
Class action and jury waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all claims must be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of class or representative proceeding. You and the company each waive any right to a jury trial.
Opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@bonewizardry.com with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Opting out of arbitration does not affect any other part of these terms.
21. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration provisions above. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, or to enforce an arbitration award, you and the company consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
22. Time limit for claims
Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to these terms or the service must be filed within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action accrued, or it is permanently barred, except where a longer period is required by applicable law.
23. Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet or telecommunications outages, third-party service failures, hosting or payment provider downtime, cyberattacks, acts of government, public health emergencies, war, or labor disruptions.
24. Export controls and sanctions
By using Bone Wizardry, you confirm that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or a national of any country subject to a comprehensive United States embargo, and that you are not listed on any United States government list of restricted or prohibited parties.
25. Communications
We provide account notices (sign-in codes, receipts, billing alerts, and terms changes) by email to the address associated with your account. These transactional emails are part of running your account and are not marketing.
We may also offer optional email updates about new content and site improvements. These are always opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update email. Unsubscribing from updates does not affect your account or transactional emails.
Notice is effective when sent. You agree to keep your account email current; we are not responsible for notices that fail because your address is outdated.
To send notice to us, email support@bonewizardry.com.
26. Survival
The following sections survive termination of your account or these terms: 2 (Educational Use Only and No Medical Advice), 3 (No Affiliation or Endorsement), 8 (User Content and Reviews), 9 (Intellectual Property), 14 (Disclaimers), 15 (Limitation of Liability), 16 (Indemnification), 20 (Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver), 21 (Governing Law and Venue), 22 (Time Limit for Claims), 24 (Export Controls and Sanctions), 26 (Survival), and 27 (General).
27. General
- Entire agreement: These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the company regarding the service, and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
- Severability: If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if it cannot be, and the rest still applies.
- No waiver: If we do not enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You cannot transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may assign or transfer them, in whole or in part, including if we sell, restructure, or reorganize the business.
- No third-party beneficiaries: Except for the company's owner, contractors, tutors, and affiliates named in the disclaimer, liability, and indemnification sections, these terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
- No agency: Nothing in these terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and the company.
